Description | Materials in and about the Isthmus Zapotec langauge of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, Mexico. Materials were collected as part of the dissertation research of Randi Moore, in the study of spatial language (reference frames) and landscape entities in three communities of speakers. Data was collected between April 2012 and January 2015. The transcriptions and translations of the audio-visual recordings in this collection are publically available. The audio-visual files themselves are restricted access. Funding support is acknowledged from NSF's Doctoral Dissertation Improvement Grants (Documenting Endangered Languages Award #1264064) and the larger MesoSpace NSF Linguistics grant (#1053123).
