The Asháninka collection is part of the phonological documentation project carried out in the Satipo Province, Junin, Peru in 2018-2019. It consists of digital media files and accompanying analytic materials and transcripts. The audio recordings comprise natural discourse, elicited speech, and illustrative sound files. The total number of indigenous contributors is 21.

This collection contains about 97 minutes of audio, about 85 minutes of which is elicitated data, with the rest being narratives and conversations.

Focus structures
The resource includes 59 sound files and a text file. The dataset dialogs were read by each speaker to allow for a controlled analysis of focus prosody. The dataset includes negated sentences and affirmative assertions with contrastive focus in noun phrases’ subjects and objects and clauses with polarity focus.
