| Description | This recording was made in the community of Ixmokoy, Yajalón, where Sandra Cruz, project member, has relatives on her father's side. The people of the said community perform a mass in Tseltal to bless the springs, in which they introduce some images, pray, sing, and read a passage from the Bible. The catechist who officiates the mass reads a passage from the Bible and gives the sermon. The final part of the prayer is in honor of the water, the catechist says a prayer of thanks, they receive communion, they sing, eat and then they dance. |
