DescriptionThis recording was made in the hamlet Josefa Ortíz de Domínguez, county of Ocosingo. The activity consists of an interview in the house of Verónica Juárez about the history of the fiesta of carnival that used to take place twenty or twenty-five years ago in Tenango, Ocosingo county, Chiapas. Besides this fiesta, other traditional festival histories were discussed that used to take place, like the water festival that took place every year and another for the decoration of clay pots and weavings. In the carnival festival, Verónica was relating the types of offices and the function that each one had, depending on the type of task involved.
