Technical Description | YK asks if Ta Bé ever went to a curandero. He answers briefly and goes on to talk about his childhood friendship with Zenón Andrés, from whom he grew apart as an adult. Expression napat uwix 'aggressive his/her hand' meaning someone who steals a lot. Starting at 1:45, he tells a story in mixed Huave and Spanish about 6 of his wife's chickens who disappeared and showed up later at someone else's house. A woman named Marcelina died in a sitting position, and sorcery was suspected; Ta Bé remembers being a child and seeing her body from the door. Another story (in Huave) starts at 7:40, about one time when Ta Bé's father was shaving and the scissors fell into the mud and could not be found, only to reappear weeks later. |
