DescriptionThis corpus, which will be updated in 2020 and 2021, contains extensive materials on the Tuparí language collected by Singerman. All of the material in the corpus (except for clips from WhatsApp) was collected in the state of Rondônia, where the Tuparí reside.

The collection of this material has been supported by the National Science Foundation's Documenting Endangered Languages Program (award #1563228) and by two grants from the Jacobs Research Funds (Bellingham, WA): an Individual Research Grant and a Kinkade Grant. Any opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in this material are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Science Foundation or of the Jacobs Research Funds.

Collection of spontaneous non-elicited utterances
This is an extensive collection of non-elicited utterances produced by native speakers of Tuparí in conversation (either in person in Rondônia or over WhatsApp). This collection of non-elicited utterances is constantly being updated and corrected through subsequent interviews with native speakers of Tuparí. For each utterance included, Singerman has aimed to provide the name of the speaker(s), the date, the time, the location, and the broader discourse context. Approximately 165 WhatsApp clips have been included to accompany the original utterances. Comments that politically sensitive, jokey, inappropriate, etc have been anonymized. 2018. Interviews with Tuparí speakers
This is a collection of over seventy interviews and elicitation sessions that Singerman conducted between 2015 and 2018. We expect additional interviews to be added to this collection in 2020 and 2021, when Singerman will return to the Rio Branco for additional fieldwork. The interviews included consist of a mixture of classical elicitation; textual translation and analysis; and review of excerpts from in-person conversations or over WhatsApp. Later interviews (which we consider more reliable) focus almost exclusively on excerpts from conversation; publications by Singerman prioritize such conversational excerpts over elicitation. 2018.
