Description | When the Lacandón man became known, it is said that a man went in the mountains with two young men to look for wicker. They looked for a place to live. A few days passed. When they returned to the place where they lived, their food was already ready, and they asked each other if one of them prepared the food. They said no. There came a day where they sent a young man to fetch water. It is said that there was long hair near the spring of water, and the young man was scared that it was the Lacandón who was there. It is said that the three men spoke with him and brought him to Chajul, because he was very important. He also wanted to teach all his wisdom to all the children of the town, but the parents did not want it. The Lacandón also made a great war with the rich people of the country, but the rich were not powerful against him, because he had certain abilities of power. That is how the Lacandón man emerged. |
