Description | Ethnologue says that Tuzanteco is a dialect of Mocho, and they cite T. Kaufman 1967. However, Kaufman told AILLA staff in March 2018 that his early analysis was incorrect and that he now affirms that Tuzanteco and Mocho are distinct languages. Therefore, we have created a separate language record for Tuzanteco, but the language code is the same as Mocho (mhc). |
