Olfactory lexicon data collection 2014
Carolyn O'Meara and Susan Smythe Kung spent four days (August 6-9, 2014) in Huehuetla, Hidalgo, Mexico conducting research on the olfactory lexicon of Huehuetla Tepehua. During the four days they conducted the "Sniffin' Sticks" protocol with 20 speakers of Huehuetla Tepehua. This resource contains the audio recordings (20 WAV files), scans of the transcription notebooks (Notebook1.pdf & Notebook2.pdf), a list of all 20 participants (HTparticipants.pdf), a list of the fixed random order in which they presented the sniffin' sticks (HTrandomOrder.pdf), a description of the Sniffin' Sticks experiment protocol (protocol_sniffinsticks.pdf) used in this research, a statement on the ethics guidelines for olfaction experiments (Olfaction-Experiments-Ethics.pdf), and scans of all the consent forms (all 20 consents scanned into one restricted file, consent.pdf). Durante los cuatro días llevaron a cabo el protocolo "Sniffin 'Sticks" con 20 hablantes de Huehuetla Tepehua.
