Description | Phuyup Yawar Waqaynin (The cloud’s bloody tear) is a novella based on the life of Camacho Rios’ grandparents, and is a documentation of traditional Quechua life. The novella narrates the story of a community in the area of Anzaldo, a small town in the Cochabamba department in central Bolivia. The novella touches on the daily life and social structures of the community, including involvement in the Revolutionary Nationalist Movement under the leadership of Victor Paz Estenssoro (four-term President of Bolivia). The story follows multiple generations in the community from 1940-1974. |
