| Description | This folder contains the digitization of Reel 4, Side A (see the scan of the reel-to-reel tape box), which appears here as JAC002R008|001.wav. This same recording appears in the folder "Traditional narratives and conversations" as JAC002R001|002.wav. It is important to note that the content of the reel itself does not match the metadata on the reel box as described on the back side of the box (left-hand side of the scan). This recording includes two stories narrated by Manuel Díaz Montejo: Buzzard and Dove (from the beginning to min 3:33) and Joseph, a version of the biblical story (from min. 3:33 until the end). Note: The original open reel tape is in the Special Collections of the Benson Latin American Collections library at the University of Texas at Austin. |
