| Description | Aiban Velarde is a Kuna poet and member of koskun kalu, the research unit of the Kuna cultural congress. He was born on August 26, 1973 in Ukupseni, Kuna Yala and is professor of Spanish in Kuna Yala. He graduated from the Nacional University of Panama. One of his poems was anthologized in Antologado en Poetas Novísimos Panameños, INAC, 1998. He also won the Pedro Correa Vázquez prize of the Escuela de España, Universidad de Panamá. He also published two poems in Talingo, the cultural supplement of La Prensa. |
