Want to help improve AILLA's collections? We are looking for volunteers to help us transcribe some of the Mixtec syntax surveys collected by Dr. Kathryn Josserand and her collaborators in southern Mexico in the 1970s and 1980s. Most of the audio recordings they collected are already publically available in the MesoAmerican Languages Collection of Kathryn Josserand, but having digital transcriptions of these handwritten documents will make this collection easier to use and create new opportunities to reuse these recordings for research, language revitalization, or other purposes.
Help transcribe the Kathryn Josserand Mixtec Surveys. There are about 133 surveys still need some transcription. No knowledge of Spanish or any Mixtec language is necessary.
This project is supported in part by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
