| Description | This folder contains digitized audio files for two cassette tapes recorded in 1999 by Francia Medina with the late Sapé speaker Elena Lezama, assisted by Lorenzo Lezama as a translator. Unfortunately, the original tapes were damaged and the resulting digital audio files have a consistent noise throughout that makes the speech in the recording hard to understand. However, given the paucity of documentation of Sapé, we are including the materials here in hopes that technology will help us recover what was originally said at one point in the near future. |
