DescriptionFollowing their second fieldwork period in Colombia, Cristine Hugh-Jones began to re-train in medicine. As part of an elective study of tuberculosis in the Brazilian Rio Negro region (C. Hugh-Jones nd.), she made a short visit in February 1984 to the Tukano community of Boca do Estrada, Rio Tiquié river, Brazilian Uaupés where she recorded a conversation, material about tuberculosis, and songs from the canto Santa Cruz messianic movement.
