DescriptionThese are recordings of k'u'anel that were made in Tojol-ab’al of the Tojol-ab'al Language Documentation Project, informants 095, 107, 108, recorded in Tojol-ab'al on 2009-05-03. The theme is k’u’anel which is a festival where they use the flute and drum. They go out with flags accompanied by songs. It is a way of asking God to give fruit to what they sow and that it should rain so that the harvest doesn't dry up. In Spanish is known as Romería (Festival).
