DescriptionThis is a group of photographs of carnival of the Tojol-ab'al Language Documentation Project, informant 023, on 2005-03-10. The subject is ta'an k'oy which takes place a few days each February or March, depending on the date of Easter, which is also known as lo'il in Tojol-ab’al and carnaval in Spanish. The photographs were taken by 017 in the Tojol-ab’al community of Ingeniero Gonzales de León, Municipio de Las Margaritas, Chiapas, México.
